Travel Ontology
01Overview
The travel ontology is a structured, versioned knowledge graph that gives the reasoning layer a shared vocabulary for the travel domain — so signals from different systems resolve into the same entities and relationships.
02Entity schema
Core entities span airlines, airports, hotels and resorts, tourism boards and DMOs, OTAs and travel platforms, local experiences, and commerce and loyalty partners — each with typed attributes and identifiers.
03Knowledge graph
Entities are connected by typed relationships — routes, properties, programs, geographies, partnerships — so the system can reason over context, not just look up records.
04API reference
The ontology is queryable through the platform API: resolve entities, traverse relationships, and attach them to live traveler context. Reference documentation is provided to integration partners.
05Vector mapping
Entities and content are mapped to embeddings so semantic search and retrieval operate over the same vocabulary the graph defines — keeping retrieval grounded and consistent.
06Integration
The ontology is designed to drop into existing stacks. See the Travel Data Integration Guide for how signals and actions connect.
